Stephanie March

Stephanie March is the India Correspondent for ABC’s Australia Network. She is based in Delhi. During her time in Delhi she has covered a variety of issues including politics, social affairs, and sports.

She has covered events including the Delhi gang rape, the Bihar school meals tragedy, the IPL match-fixing scandal and drug trafficking and use in Punjab. Since joining the ABC in 2007, she has reported from Australia, India, East Timor and Bangladesh. Stephanie began her media career in print journalist working for newspapers in the Australian state of Victoria before moving to the Solomon Islands to work as an advisor to a community radio network. She then moved to East Timor where she worked for the ABC and other media outlets. During that time she covered significant events including the shooting of the country’s president and subsequent period of emergency rule.
